 Solar Cookers are used to cook food stuff which saves fuel and help slow down of defrestation. Realizing the usefulness Solar Cooker we promote and provide subsidy to it.
Solar Dryers and Cookers will be distributed to all districts of the country to reduce imported petroleum fuel consumption through maximum use of solar thermal energy for water heating, cooking food, and drying agricultural crops.
We are responsible for matters related to implementation of activities such as promotion, dissemination, market regulation and quality assurance and monitoring of solar dryer and cookers. We prepare quality standards and guidelines and provide technical assistance to solar dryer and cookers manufactures/distributors and provide subsidy to users through the qualified companies to the recognized systems. We qualify companies for manufacturing, distribution, installation, and after sales service of solar dryer and cookers periodically. We also ensure that the users gets quality product at reasonable price through competitive market. To ensure this, we monitor the field installation and conduct surveys, studies etc. |
