Achievement and Impacts (As of 30 June, 2011)

• 6554 IWM installations including 878 LS IWMs provide services to 3,40,808 HHs
• 23 IWM Electrifications provide services to 871 HHs
• Existence of 33 Service Centres, 16 Ghatta Owner's Association and 22 Manufacturers
• Mill users, (mainly women) drudgery reduced and time saved (2 hours per milling)
• Majority of Mill Owners are socially exclusive ( 78% ethnic and Dalit and 22% others)
• Reduction in operation of diesel mills reducing emission of CO2 (about 3.1 ton/SS/year; 4.9 ton/LS/year and 6.01 ton/electrification/year)
• Addressed to fulfil MDGs: mainly poverty reduction, access to education, gender empowerment, maternal health, reduction in child mortality and better environment.
